Comments

‘It is worth noting that we could have reduced costs further had the works been better co-ordinated with the original roof installation. In particular, if we had used the original mobile crane hire period to lift the material up to the roof instead of hiring one specially, the crane hire would have been nearer £2,000, making the total cost of the brownfield roof installation £8,631, reducing the rate to £21.58/m2.’
Rob Leslie-Carter, Project Manager Ove Arup, Laban Dance Centre

Completion Date

The roof was installed in the late summer 2002 and was the first of its kind.
