Build up of Roof

The ‘Link Roof’ comprises a Floratec FS 100 drainage system, 150mm layer of intensive soil, turf and irrigation system

Comments

The Link Roof’s unusual shape also posed some special installation challenges. Its slope, which varies from a few degrees on the ridge area to nearly 45˚ at each corner, presented the problem of how to hold the soil in place. On the steepest areas, deep profiles within the drainage boards were used to secure the ‘base’ of the soil build-up against slippage. Erosion netting was installed to hold the top surface of the soil build-up.
