To continue the ethos of our lenders, the Ecology Building Society

To be cost effective, given the costs of the alternative roofing material of York Stone flags

50m2

Build up of Roof

Fireblown clay pellets, over Delta MS20 on 50mm polystyrene, over Visqueen 2000 vapour check on OSB Board

Comments

The roof is sited 800ft up the Pennine Moors, on an East facing aspect. Given that most years the roof has lying snow for a couple of weeks, and the rest of the time is soaked, establishment of the plug plants has been pretty successful, though slower than in less exposed locations. Full coverage is expected this year, almost 3 years after planting. All plants have been locally sourced in order to be hardy in such a location.
